What's Your Story?

I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth and most of us weren't. My past isn't pretty and most of ours isn't. I have been through the fire and still am there, and I am not walking through that fire alone. But, why do so many of us feel like the misunderstood outcast.

Last week I was able to tell my story at a young adults night hosted by my church and it felt absolutely amazing. Not only did I get to tell my story but 3 other young adults shared as well and it has truly changed my life. So it got me thinking "Why do so many of us hold back when we have such awesome testimonies. Revelation 12:11 says "And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die".

There is power in telling your story

The devil has placed muzzles over the mouths of this generation because he knows if we can reach just one other person who has been through something even remotely similar to what we've been through, and we tell them how we overcame what they are going through now, it will threaten the bondage he has them in. Everything you went through had to be allowed by God and if he allowed you to go through it, it's because he is going to use it.

So open your mouths and tell your story! Someone needs to hear it and you could be the key that unlocks their freedom.
