It's Okay to be Broken.
When I look in the mirror I see a strong woman who know's her identity in Christ. A woman who isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in or encourage another sister or brother to do the same. A woman who can shamelessly write about a God half of our generation rejects. I also see a woman who was afraid to be broken. But I do not blame myself although I probably should because I didn't get here alone. I would like to thank you all for that.
We live in a generation where failure is not reasonable. Criticizing, harassment, and bullying have become the norm. Women are afraid to post an unfiltered picture and men are afraid they don't make enough. Running away from every flaw and imperfect moment is the easy thing to do..and we do it. Why?
It's time to accept our brokenness and imperfections. Every area of lack in our lives is an opportunity for God to show up and show out. I no longer run but rejoice in these times. I look up to God and say "Alright what are you about to do? :)
